June 11, 2026 CADRI’s long-time VP Catherine Allman has decided to retire from CADRI at the end of her current contract in November. Catherine’s 11 years at CADRI have been significant. Working first with former Chair and CEO Alain Thibault, and since 2021 with Geoff Beechey, Catherine has assisted in raising CADRI’s profile and positioned it as a go-to influencer for industry policy makers across Canada. Catherine has provided counsel on CADRI’s strategic endeavours and worked with CADRI’s members to address issues across the country with the aim of making it easier to run their businesses, and for consumers to find the home and auto insurance they need. The key issues she moved forward include work from home, licensing reciprocity, the creation of test-and-learn regulatory environments and regulatory modernization. Catherine has always held volunteer roles in addition to her full-time work. She is currently Vice-Chair of her local library. During her retirement, she is looking forward to volunteering in her community and to spending less time at her desk and more time outdoors. CADRI wishes Catherine well in her next chapter. Catherine’s last day will be 30 November and until then it is business as usual. The CADRI Board has formed a search committee to ensure a smooth transition, and more news will be forthcoming soon.
